Herbal Massage Ball
60-minute workshop
Step into the tradition of Thai herbal healing through touch. You'll learn how the luk pra kob, the traditional herbal compress ball, is made from over ten dried Thai herbs, and create your own to take home for muscle relief and relaxation.
A Tradition of Healing Through Touch
The herbal compress ball, known in Thai as luk pra kob, has been used for centuries in traditional Thai medicine. Dried herbs are wrapped tightly in cotton cloth and warmed, then used to massage and relieve the body, a practice passed down through generations of local healers.
Herbs and Their Properties
Each compress ball blends more than ten herbs, including turmeric, lemongrass, kaffir lime, ginger, and camphor. Together they offer anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and soothing properties, working in synergy to ease tension and refresh the body.
Potential Health Benefits
The warmth and herbal compounds of the compress ball help relieve muscle and joint pain, boost blood circulation, ease tension, and support the body's natural detoxification through gentle heat therapy.
What You'll Learn
Learn how to select and combine traditional herbs, wrap and prepare your own compress ball by hand, and take home your finished herbal massage ball in a protective bag, along with the knowledge to use it for ongoing relief.
